The Meganite Story
Building Solid Partnerships for over 40 Years
Founded 40 years ago in 1976, we are a private, family-owned business founded by a chemical engineer. He had a relentless focus on R&D to provide quality products at the best value. Starting with manufacturing composite materials like resins, gel coats and color paste, we eventually evolved to solid surfaces which is our core focus.
Today, as a US-based company, we build off our long history and expertise to continue to innovate on acrylic solid surfaces. Our managing philosophy is to partner for the long-term, and grow with our distributors and customers. As a solid partner, some of Meganite’s distributor-partnerships have lasted decades.
Besides being a solid partner in providing high-quality hygienic surfaces, we believe in giving back to the community. We focus our corporate philanthropy on mental wellness.

Healthy Living Starts Here
Protecting and improving global health
Our company continues to focus on providing quality products to Architects & Designers and end-customers. We never stray from only using top ingredients in our surfaces, and our acrylic solid surfaces use 100% acrylic resins including the chips in our patterned sheets.
Meganite adheres to global standards for food-safety like the NSF-51 certification.
Meganite is also certified for indoor air quality on VOCs with the Green Guard Gold (formerly known as GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification) which offers stricter certification criteria that considers safety for sensitive individuals (such as children and the elderly), and ensures that a product is acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. It is referenced by both The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Building Rating System.

Partnering with Customers
We believe in long-term partnerships and understand the nuanced demands of every customer. For some of the top hospitals, luxury brands, and global franchises, we deliver solid surfaces that meet their standards for food-safety, hygiene and color innovation.
We have also delivered on highly customized projects for boutique clients who have specific size and design requirements. For example, one multinational luxury client had a unique size requirement at high-volumes for the surfaces in all their showrooms across North America and Meganite delivered. For another healthcare client, we created a custom-sized coloured surface that met hygienic standards while also increasing efficiencies to shorten delivery time and boost capacity. This allowed the client to become the second largest healthcare cabinet systems player in North America in a short period of time.
Green, Recycled Materials
Meganite’s GreenGuard Gold certification meets LEED V4 criteria. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building certification program was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council to provide a set of standards for environmentally sustainable construction. The certification program consists of several different rating systems, depending on the project or building type, such as schools, homes, healthcare facilities, or commercial interiors.
Furthermore, Meganite’s Recycled Series is certified by SCS Global which sets the standard for sustainability. To make recycling material easily accessible, our most popular colors are in the Recycled Series, and we can also deliver customized designs with recycled content.
